The Vera Thiess Fellowship for Women gives women from developing countries the opportunity to gain valuable experience and network with the IRF and its partners. The goal of the Vera Thiess Fellowship is to advance women’s participation in water and river management to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Emerging Water Professional Award
The Emerging River Professional Award (ERPA) is an initiative of the IRF, established to recognize and foster early career river professionals who have demonstrated innovation, excellence and leadership in river, basin, or river-dependent community management within the first five years of their career.
