More Challenges For Antigua As Drought Continues

As you all know the risk of drought is high due to the climate conditions experienced by some  of the Caribbean islands and is especially so for Antigua and Barbuda and a few other islands (namely ABC islands, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Guadeloupe, Guianas, and Barbados), who are under a drought warning, with water shortages expected to “worsen until the next wet season i.e. until May” (CARICOF Newsletter, 2016).

The post re-blogged from highlights what citizens of the island are currently going through.

Let’s hope such conditions improve soon for our neighbours and please continue to be diligent in water conservation and best water use practices so that our country doesn’t experience such challenges in the future.

Climate change has brought with it many challenges for the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
