World Health Organization (WHO) for Global Sanitation and Drinking Water Statistics

The World Health Organization has continued to keep us abreast of statistics in terms of sanitation and drinking water assessment.

This is particularly significant in terms of monitoring the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the importance of improving the drinking water supply and sanitation on a global scale.

The current report which has been produced as a result of the Joint Monitoring Programme by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) provides information on final MDG assessments on a global, international and regional scale, as well as, highlights the changes in monitoring sanitation, water and hygiene since 1990.
